Administrator


The organization whom We have retained to provide claim and administration services for Our Vehicle Service Contract program. Unless stated as obligor in Section 4 of the contract - Contract Provisions, Our Administrator, its agents, and assigns are not party to the Contract and have no liability to You under the terms of the Contract.

Contract Sale Date and Contract Sale Mileage

The sale date of the Contract to You and the mileage on Your Vehicle's odometer on that date. You may not claim reimbursement for any charges or Cost(s) that You incurred prior to the Contract Sale Date or Contract Sale Mileage.

Covered Part or Covered Parts

Any of the parts of Your Vehicle listed in Section 5 of the contract - MasterTech VSC Coverage - Equipment and/or Use Surcharges (if applicable and purchased) are subject to conditions and exclusions listed in Section 6 of the contract - Non-Covered Parts and Services and Section 7 of the contract - Non-Covered Conditions.

Covered Vehicle

The eligible Vehicle identified in Section 1 of the contract - Proof of Registration.

Dealer

The automobile Dealer or lessor from whom You purchased or leased Your Vehicle is referred to as either the Issuing Dealer or Selling Dealer/Agent in Section 1 of the contract - Proof of Registration.

Deductible

The portion of the Repair Cost(s) that You must pay as stated in Section 1 of the contract - Proof of Registration. All Deductibles are per repair visit. However, the Deductible does not apply to rental reimbursement, towing, or road service. There is no Deductible for the Scheduled Maintenance Services provided by this Contract.

Full Factory Warranty

The manufacturer's warranty that is provided at no additional Cost to You, which covers repairs to any Vehicle defect related to material or workmanship. This includes any extended manufacturer's powertrain warranty coverage and any additional benefits provided by the manufacturer to the original owner.

In-Service Date

The New Vehicle's factory warranty start date or the New Vehicle's first day of use, whichever occurs first, regardless of the Contract Sales Date. If the In-Service Date is unknown or not indicated in the Contract, the In-Service Date will automatically become January 1 of the Vehicle's model year.

Mechanical Breakdown and Breakdown (Applies to Secure and Primary only)

A failure of a Covered Part or faulty workmanship as supplied by the manufacturer. A Covered Part has failed when it can no longer perform the function for which it was designed. However, it does not include: (a) wear and tear on Covered Parts or components that have not experienced a Breakdown, (b) the gradual reduction of operating performance caused by wear and tear or usage of parts or components, or (c) damages caused by the breakage or failure to function of Non-Covered components or parts.

A failure of a Covered Part or faulty workmanship as supplied by the manufacturer. A Covered Part has failed when it can no longer perform the function for which it was designed.

New Vehicle

A Vehicle that, at the Contract Sale Date and the Contract Sale Mileage, qualifies for New Vehicle Contract terms based on program eligibility guidelines.

Preowned Vehicle

Any eligible Vehicle other than a New Vehicle.

Repair Cost(s) and Cost(s)

The authorized labor and parts amount charged by Your Selling Dealer or an authorized repair facility to repair or replace Covered Parts as required due to a Breakdown (subject to the terms and conditions of the Contract and as authorized by Our Administrator). Parts Cost(s) are limited to suggested retail prices of Your Vehicle's manufacturer. Replacement will be made with new, remanufactured, or parts of like kind and quality and compatible with the Covered Vehicle's specification(s). All parts replaced will be covered under the terms and conditions hereof for the remaining term and/or mileage of the Contract.

Scheduled Maintenance Services

The services listed in the coupon book and the term and interval section titled "Optional Scheduled Maintenance" in Section 1 of the contract - Proof of Registration.

Vehicle Service Contract or VSC

The MasterTech Vehicle Service Contract that You purchased from your selling dealer.

We, Us, and Our

The Obligor of the Contract, as stated in Section 4 of the contract - Contract Provisions.

You and Your

You, the purchaser of the Vehicle described in Section 1 of the contract - Proof of Registration.
