How do I file a claim?
1. Advise your Service Consultant at the repair facility that you have a MasterTech Vehicle Service Contract.
2. Have the Service Consultant contact American Financial Warrranty Corporation (AFWC), the administrator, at 800-964-4811 to obtain authorization prior to any repairs conducted.
3. Prior authorization is required for all work.
4. No reimbursement is necessary on authorized repairs. Only pay your deductible, if applicable.
5. Contact AFWC's Customer Service Department at 800-964-4811 if you have any questions or concerns.
 
 
How do I transfer my vehicle service contract?
1. You may transfer the remaining coverage on your vehicle when you sell your vehicle to another individual prior to the expiration of your contract.
2. You must submit a letter to AFWC within thirty (30) days of the date of the sale of your vehicle.
3. Please submit a copy of the sales agreement or odometer statement that details the date and mileage at time of sale.

Please submit verifiable maintenance records showing that you have maintained your vehicle per the manufacturer's guidelines during the time period that you owned the vehicle.

5. Please provide proof that any manufacturer's warranty remaining has been transferred to the new owner.

Please submit payment of $50.00 for the transfer fee.

How do I cancel my vehicle service contract?
1. You may cancel your VSC at any time by notifying your selling dealer in writing. Please advise your selling dealer of the date and mileage on your vehicle at time of cancellation.
2. If your request for cancellation is made within sixty (60) days of the contract sale date and no claims have been made, you will be entitled to a full refund.
3. If your request for cancellation is received after sixty (60) days from the contract sale date, or if you have filed claims, then the cancellation refund will be pro-rated. The pro-rata refund will be the greater usage of miles or months from the commencement of the contract term in relation to the maximum contract term, less the cancellation fee.
